Why is there air?
you should differentiate your questions from what I typed, but since you asked I will tell you.
From a spiritual standpoint, God created everything and decided that there should be air.
From a logical deduction standpoint we need air to survive, so if we didn't have air we wouldn't be alive, so obviously we need air and therefore have it.
From a physics standpoint the earth upon creation had a number of lighter elements around it and as its mass spun together it developed a gravitational pull that held the atmosphere in place creating a layer of air between earth and space.(at least I think that's how it happened according to modern science)
P.S.>for my personal beliefs I go with number 1.
