Math Tutors Needed

Georgia Tech has officially adopted Centennial Place Elementary School since it's inception in 1998, and we partner in a variety of manners weekly. We have also partnered with Bethune Elementary School, and both schools are attended by children in the communities that are adjacent to our campus on the south and west sides. The principals of both schools have requested math tutoring assistance from Georgia Tech, and I am asking for your help in identifying appropriate methods to answer their requests. My suggestionsinclude:

Student volunteering Perhaps faculty members can encourage their students to volunteer in classrooms and after school. Class adoption: Various math classes can adopt a grade level and provide math tutoring

If you are interested in any of these ideas, or if you have your own, please contact me and I will put you in touch with the principals and staff who will manage the tutoring programs. Hands on Atlanta personnel will provide any tutor training needed and will assist with logging hours of volunteerism.

Centennial Place Elementary is located on Luckie St. across from Coke (a block from our campus); Bethune is located on Northside Dr. across from the new World Congress Center and the GA Dome.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Andrea
