A SESSION FOR YOUR LAST QUESTIONS before final exam will be Sunday, 7PM in the usual place, assuming no one beats us to it.
FINAL EXAM Tuesday at 2:50 in usual place. Text, calculator, 10 pages of cheat sheets. In addition to old material that you were responsible for on previous tests, you are responsible for ch 9 sections 1,2,3 with omission from section 9.2 mentioned below.
I HAVE NOW PUT UP the solutions for all three tests (see above).
A CHANGE: On the final, you will only be responsible for section 9.1 from chapter 9. So the
LAST HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT (From ch. 9) will only be the material from sections 9.1 This is all we will cover from chapter 9. And it is not turned in, you just do it to be ready for the final.
TEST 3 on Friday, Dec 1, will cover chapters 6,7, and 8, with these omissions: Omit bootstrap confidence intervals on page 289; omit tolerance intervals on page 305; omit the likelihood ratio principle on page 354.
YOU MAY HAVE 6 cheat sheets and a calculator, and must bring your textbook (for the tables).
THE THIRD HOMEWORK (covering the same sections as the test) will be due the Monday after the test.
HOMEWORK FOR CH. 8 is now up.
2nd HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT and SECOND TEST will go from 3.6 through chapter 5.
