Comments:

Here's the proposed language from Stephen Ruffin for our new Item #6 on the RPT Documents:

6. Teaching Effectiveness Committee Letter
The Teaching Effectiveness Committee’s letter should provide an in-depth assessment of the quality of the candidate’s teaching. The committee should include members who can assess the teaching quality and impact in the candidate’s area of instruction. The committee’s assessment should include consideration of the (A) Summary of Teaching Effectiveness listed in 10, (B) Course Portfolio, (C) Classroom Teaching Assessment, and (D) Undergraduate/Graduate Student Guidance. The committee should not vote or express judgment on the question of promotion and/or tenure.
